Michael Boyle Michael Boyle

Michael Boyle is one of the foremost experts in the fields of Strength and Conditioning, Functional Training and general fitness. He currently spends his time lecturing, teaching, training and writing. In 1996 Michael co founded Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, one of the first for-profit strength and conditioning companies in the world. Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning exists for one reason: to provide performance enhancement training for athletes of all levels. Athletes trained range from junior high school students to All Stars in almost every major professional sport.

Prior to Co- founding Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, Michael served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Boston University for 15 years, also for the past 25 years he been  the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Men's Ice Hockey at Boston University.  Mike also was the Boston Red Sox  strength and conditioning coach in 2013 that won the World Series. In addition to his duties at Boston University and the Red Sox, from 1991-1999 Boyle served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. Michael was also the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 1998 US Women's Olympic Ice Hockey Team, Gold Medalists in Nagano and 2014 Silver medalists in Sochi, and served as a consultant in the development of the USA Hockey National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Michael has been a featured speaker at numerous strength and conditioning and athletic training clinics across the world and has produced 20 instructional videos in the area of strength and conditioning available through M-F Athletic. Michael has also lectured all over the world. In addition, Michael published Functional Training for Sports for Human Kinetics Publishers. Mike and his wife Cindy have 2 children, Michaela and Mark and reside in Reading.

Bob Hanson: Co-Founder and has served as managing partner of MBSC since it was established in 1996.

During that time Bob has grown MBSC into a world class strength and conditioning center, voted #1 gym in the country for past 3 years. Bob has a strong reputation of dedication, knowledge and personal attention toward managing MBSC, along with MBSC Thrive, bodybyboyleonline www.bodybyboyleonline.com and Certified Functional Strength Coach, www.Certifiedfsc.com

 Bob has also been involved in coaching youth hockey with over 30 years coaching experiance.

Bob is married to Diane Hanson, a familiar face to the athletes and personal training clients at the gym where she works in the office and handles all day to day operations. Bob and Diane have 3 children Christine, Bobby JR and Matthew. and 4 grandchildren Trey, Cassidy,Tenley and Emerson. Bobby JR graduated from Boston University and played hockey for the Terriers, and CHL and in Germany, he also played Dave Silk in the movie "MIRACLE." Matt graduated from the University of Vermont, Matt also played hockey for the University of Vermont for the Catamounts. Christine works in Boston as a legal assistant.  

Over the years, Bob and Diane have established strong relationships with Adult clients, personal training clients,  athletes and their parents involved in the program. Diane and Bob reside in Peabody.

Steve Bunker Steve Bunker
Head Strength Coach North Andover Facility

Prior to joining the staff at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, Steve Bunker practiced law as a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Steve earned degrees from the following institutions: BA from Wake Forest University; JD from Suffolk University in Boston; BS in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts.

He is also an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a USA Weightlifting Club Coach.

In addition to coaching athletes of all levels and ages, Steve is the Education and Internship Coordinator at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning.

Ken Whittier Ken Whittier
Strength and Conditioning, Co-Director of Education & Internships

Ken Joined the MBSC staff in the spring of 2013 after completing his internship the previous summer and graduating from UMass Amherst with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. Ken works with clients and athletes of all ages ranging from elite level college athletes to middle school and adult groups. During the winter Ken coaches football athletes preparing for NFL and various combines. In the Spring/Summer he spends much of his time training collegiate and professional hockey players. In the Fall Ken assists in training a baseball group that includes Craig Breslow (Minnesota Twins) and Rich Hill (Los Angeles Dodgers). Ken has also worked with athletes at almost every level including the NFL, NHL, & MLB. He has also trained countless division 1 athletes in baseball, soccer, football, men's and women's hockey, basketball, and continues to work with the Malden Catholic Varsity Hockey team. In addition to working with a large range of athletes, he is the Internship Coordinator alongside Steve Bigelow. Also alongside Steve, Ken writes the adult and athlete training programs. Ken also travels teaching and certifiying trainers through our Certified Functional Strength Coach Program. Most recently he taught and certified trainers in Shanghai and Belfast. He is a NPA level 1 coach and is Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified.

Kevin Carr Kevin Carr
Strength and Conditioning, Licensed Massage Therapist

Whether he is working as a coach or therapist, Kevin's goal is to help you move better so that you can excel at the activities that make you happy.

Kevin has already amassed a wealth of experience in the field of sports performance and personal training while working at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning in Woburn, Massachusetts. Working with everyone from US Olympians looking for a competitive edge to the Average Joe or looking to shed some pounds and get healthier he has helped countless clients move better and live healthier lives.

He owns and operates Movement As Medicine massage and movement therapy clinic located right next door to MBSC. Kevin and his team of therapists specialize in resolving chronic pain and immobility so that clients can return enjoying their favorite sports and fitness activities.

Kevin is also a world-renowned speaker in the fitness industry, traveling the world educating and certifying coaches with Certified Functional Strength Coach and Perform Better.

In addition to receiving a Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology from The University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a License in Massage Therapy from Cortiva Institute- Watertown, he is also credited with the completion of numerous continuing education certifications including FMS, SFMA, NKT Level 1 and 2, FRC, FAPP, Pn1, and PRI.

Scott Georgaklis Scott Georgaklis
Strength & Conditioning, Licensed Massage Therapist

Scott Georgaklis is a Strength and Conditioning Coach at MBSC as well as a manual therapist at Movement As Medicine. He previously interned with Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, where he has worked for the last 3 years; Combining concepts from high profile complex training programs and injury prevention mobility and stability training from his therapy background, gives Scott’s athletes access to a large foundational base of coaching knowledge. Scott works with the USA Olympic: judo, hockey, skeleton/bobsled and track teams. A number of MLB, AHL, NHL and MMA athletes as well as some of the best grappling athletes in the world. Scott's passions are reading, rock climbing, working out, fishing, fine carpentry and metalwork. With a background as a trail guide and outdoorsman in northern Vermont and Maine, Scott brings a variety of skills to his strength and conditioning work and constantly works on self improvement. Scott trains Gracie Jiu Jitsu to perfect his skills in the “art of coaching” under Professor Travis Stevens. With a background in kettlebell training, martial arts, and as a wilderness survival guide, Scott strives to encourage others to build a connection between the fields of nutrition, natural movement, and athletics.

Steve Bigelow Steve Bigelow
Strength and Conditioning,Co-Director of Education & Internships

Stephen Joined the MBSC team after completing the Summer 2014 internship program.  Since his time at MBSC, he has coached all types of clients ranging from professional athletes to middle-school kids and enjoys helping everyone reach their personal and performance goals. Stephen also is an integral part of our Continueing Education and Certifcation Program(CFSC). He has traveled all over the U.S. and the world,including Brazil,China and Korea teaching other trainers.

 Stephen graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where he was a captain of the Men's Track and Field team.  During his career he amassed several athletic and academic awards including two All-New England selections and the UMass Spring Scholar Athlete distinction in 2014.

 Stephen attends several continuing education events every year and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), FMS Levels 1 and 2 certified, and a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting.

Marco Sanchez Marco Sanchez
Strength & Conditioning Coach, Licensed Massage Therapist

Marco Sanchez has been a strength and conditioning coach at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning in Woburn since completing a summer internship in 2009. Since then Marco has built an extensive resume of personal training and athlete clients, ranging from youths to professionals and Olympians. Since 2014, Marco has been traveling the world educating for the Certified Functional Strength Coach, Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning and Perform Better ranging from Dubai, Qatar, Italy, London and Brazil.

In the fall of 2013, Marco completed his year-long massage therapy licensure and began treating clients and athletes at MBSC. Marco spent the 2013-2014 professional hockey season as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the San Jose Sharks, and head strength coach of their American Hockey League affiliate, the Worcester Sharks.

Vinny Talluto Vinny Talluto
Strength and Conditioning


Vinny has been a strength and conditioning coach at MBSC since completing a Summer internship in 2014. He is a graduate from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a degree in Exercise Physiology and minors in both Nutrition and Psychology. Vinny has been fortunate enough to travel all around the world teaching and certifying trainers through our Certified Functional Strength Coach Program most recently being the AS Roma club in Italy and the Philippines.
         Vinny specializes in getting athletes to buy-in and set goals that focus on the process of training rather than only on the outcome. He enjoys helping athletes increase athleticism and improve the likelihood that they reach their true athletic potential. By implementing his systems at MBSC it allows for entirely individualized training that will address faulty movement patterns, flexibility limitations, and other unique training needs. Vinny has had the privilege of working with athletes of all ages, ranging from elite level college athletes to middle school and adult groups.
         Vinny continues to further his education by attending multiple conferences and seminars every year. He is FMS level 1, Precision Nutrition, and USA Weightlifting certified.

Mike DeGregorio Mike DeGregorio
Strength and Conditioning

Mike is a Certified Personal Trainer, a Sports Performance Enhancement Specialist, and a Sergeant (SGT) in the United States Army.  In the winter of 2012, Mike interned at MBSC. He was then hired as a fulltime strength and conditioning coach.

Mike has always been involved in sports, playing football, baseball and hockey from a young age.  At Central Catholic High School, Mike narrowed his focused to hockey. Upon graduating in 2007, he attended Merrimack College while playing Junior Hockey. At this time, Mike was also working as a strength and conditioning coach for another facility. Mike was an assistant coach for the Empire Junior B Hockey Team and assisted with on ice skills for the Valley Junior Warrior program.

In 2009, Mike put his career on hold to join the United States Army. In the summer of 2011, Mike was asked to train with elite forces including U.S. Army Rangers and Special Forces for secret missions in accordance with Operation Legion Copperhead. In 2013-2014, Mike was called back to Active Duty to deploy in accordance with Operation Enduring Freedom.  While on the deployment, Mike was the Noncommissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC) of the On the Job Training Program (OJT) for the Afghan National Army Military Police Corp (ANA). During this time, Mike and a five man team, created and successfully implemented a training program that had been previously unsuccessful in all attempts throughout the war. Mike and his team graduated over 400 ANA soldiers.

Once back in the U.S., Mike returned to MBSC.  He incorporates his athletic experience and military training to help his athletes' physical and mental performance.

Nicole Delegas Nicole Delegas
Strength and Conditioning
Nicole joined the MBSC coaching staff in December of 2014 after completing the fall internship program. Nicole graduated from Suffolk University in December of 2013 with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy. Upon graduation, Nicole attended the American Academy of Personal Training (AAPT) in Boston, where she studied corrective exercise, nutrition and the Functional Movement Screen (FMS). While attending personal training school, she also spent time shadowing at MBSC throughout the spring and summer sessions.
While working at MBSC, Nicole has developed a wealth of experience training the Sachem Soccer Boys, Andover Lacrosse, Andover Basketball and many youth hockey teams from all over the state. 
Nicole believes that everyone deserves to function without pain during daily life and is determined to help others function in a way that makes life easier. Nicole is a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC) and is also working towards becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). She continues to further her education by attending conferences and seminars.

Craig Halpin Craig Halpin

Craig has been a member of the MBSC team since the summer of 2015. During his time at MBSC Craig has gathered experience working with a wide range of clientele including, NCAA athletes, elite high school athletes, adults managing nagging pain, and several clients 70+ looking for a safe start getting back into exercise.

 Prior to joining the MBSC team Craig was earning his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology at Fitchburg State University. While attending Fitchburg Craig was the captain of the Men's Ice Hockey team. Craig also played Junior A hockey for the New York Applecore in the Eastern Junior Hockey League and is very familiar with the prep school and college recruitment process. Craig is currently the head coach for the U14 North Shore Shamrocks along with a hockey player development coach for Noyes Hockey.  

 As a personal trainer/coach Craig enjoys building strong relationships with his clients and feels if the client enjoys coming to the gym, reaching their goals becomes fun and sustainable. Craig’s loves working with High School and College athletes that are motivated to reach the next level!

Eric Daddario Eric Daddario

Eric is a graduate of Clarkson University class of  2011, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Minor in Psychology. While attending Clarkson University, he played four seasons of Division I NCAA Ice Hockey. Eric is certified in the popularized Functional Movement Screen (FMS) through Gray Cook's Functional Movement Systems,


Before joining the team at MBSC, Eric interned at Boston Physical Therapy & Wellness with the sports medicine team. During this time he worked alongside Physical Therapists to provide rehabilitation services to a diverse age range of clients through corrective exercise, strength training, and helping to reduce the risk of injury. He joined the MBSC team after completing the Spring 2016 internship program where he gained extensive knowledge of sports performance and strength and conditioning .Eric is certified in the performance enhancement specialist (PES) Through NASM.

Previously, Eric held various coaching positions. He coached on ice drills and assisted in Dry land exercises  for three summers in the USA Satellite Hockey Development program .  before moving on to coach young hockey athletes' shooting techniques at Shoot To Score. He also spent one season as an Assistant Coach for the Belmont Hill Freshman Ice Hockey Team. Since Eric began his employment at MBSC, he has worked with a full range of student and adult athletes. Eric has used his years of coaching experience and his MBSC internship knowledge to train athletes to gain their full potential in a safe training environment. He helps clients reach their desired athletic goals while also instilling confidence.

Joe Squizzero Joe Squizzero

For as long as he can remember, Joe has had a passion for Health and Fitness.  After graduating from Melrose High School, Joe attended the National Personal Training Institute in Waltham, Ma.  As a student at NPTI he studied Exercise Science, Human Anatomy, Kinesiology, Physiology, and Weight Training.  The knowledge and skill he received at NPTI prepared him to be a successful trainer who can help his clients/athletics reach their goals and true potential.  Joe graduated in 2014 with a diploma in Personal Training.  He was then fortunate enough to complete an Internship at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning where he put all his knowledge in the field of fitness to use on a daily basis training numerous groups of athletes from Middle School, High School, and College level.

Joe is now employed at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning where every day is a learning experience.  Being part of the Team at Mike Boyle's, has helped him to remain focused on his goals, and those of his clients.  Along with working at MBSC he is also a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Malden Catholic High School. He brings all of his education, skill, and effort to preparing his clients to reach success.  He looks forward to continuing his education in the field of Fitness, where he will continue to develop new skills, techniques, and insight into his profession.

Kristina Jennings Kristina Jennings
Strength and Conditioning, Co-Director of Internships

Kristina graduated with a degree in Kinesiology from UMass Amherst. She started off playing soccer at the University of Rhode Island and continued to play soccer at UMass Amherst when she transferred. Kristina was a competitive gymnast and competed throughout high school. 

Playing sports and staying active have always been passions of hers. She enjoys working with athletes and clients of all ages while helping them rise to the next level of fitness. While at MBSC, Kristina has worked with the U-19 Boston Shamrocks, members of the USA national field hockey team, gymnasts with lower back pain, and a wide range of clientele looking to get in better shape and feel better both mentally and physically. 

 Kristina is FMS level 1 certified, a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and is certified through Titleist Performance (TPI Level 1).

Kristina is in charge of coordinating and help teach events for the CFSC as it has continued to grow. Her goal is to help raise the bar and quality of training in the fitness industry. She enjoys going to the beach, running and snowboarding.

Eric Chau Eric Chau
Strength and Conditioning

Eric joined the MBSC team in December of 2016 as well as completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology at UMass Lowell. During his time at UMass Lowell, Eric accumulated extensive experience working in physical therapy clinics along with speed and strength coaching at Parisi Speed School. Extremely intrigued by both the rehab process and sports performance, he hopes to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in the future.

 While at MBSC, Eric has had the privilege of training clients of all ages and backgrounds ranging from MS/HS athletes, adults, to elite level college athletes. Whether your goal is to be faster on the court or to shed a few pounds, Eric will go above and beyond to help you become the BEST version of yourself.

 Eric has a strong athletic background within soccer, basketball, and wrestling; leading him to current opportunities working with the Arlington Varsity basketball team, the Hingham Varsity wrestling team, and a variety of basketball & soccer athletes.

Dan McGinley Dan McGinley
Strength and Conditioning

Dan has been a coach at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning since January of 2013.  During this time he has worked with everyone from Olympic and professional athletes looking for a competitive edge to developing high school and middle school athletes and adult personal training clients striving to feel, look and live healthy and active lives.


In addition to graduating from Bridgewater Sate University with a degree in Physical Education, Dan has also participated in numerous continuing education courses including the Functional Movement Screen level 1 & 2, Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  He travels both internationally and throughout the U.S. educating coaches and trainers on the systems used at MBSC as a member of the teaching staff for the Certified Functional Strength Coach.  


Dan spent 16 months in China representing MBSC as the director of strength and conditioning at the Ersha Sports Training Institute of Guangdong Province.  During this time he was tasked with overseeing the development of the strength and conditioning program for the training center as well as coaching both healthy and rehabbing athletes from 14 sports.   His athletes in China, including current and future Olympians won 26 medals during the 2017 China games in Tianjin.


In his free time Dan enjoys spending time on Cape Cod, snowboarding, hiking and travel.

Damion Perry Damion Perry
Strength and Conditioning
Damion earned his bachelor degree in Exercise & Sports Science with a concentration in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Fitchburg State University.  At Fitchburg State, he ran on the Cross Country team as well as competing as a mid-long distance runner on the Winter & Spring track teams.  
He is currently in school to become a Licensed Massage Therapist so that he can further his ability to help clients move well and perform better. Before working with athletes and general population clients at MBSC, he worked in multiple healthcare settings such as cardiac rehabilitation and physical therapy. He is passionate about learning and continuing his education through seminars, certifications, and reading as often as possible to provide the best care to any athlete or client of MBSC.

Damian Pinheiro Damian Pinheiro
Strength & Conditioning, Licensed Massage Therapist

 Getting fit and pain-free can be the most rewarding, fun experience.  Finding a coach to guide you through your journey is a vital step.  Damian works with clients, putting their needs first to provide a quality training environment. 

 Damian played goalie for the Lewiston MAINEiacs (QMJHL) before retiring to study Exercise Science and Biology at Concordia University (Montréal, Québec), Damian worked with the Stingers Varsity athletics (CIS, now U-Sports) as their Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach.  Damian also has experience training Special Olympics athletes, competitive dancers, pre-/post-natal women and older adults.  Damian founded GrassFit, an outdoor group training company based in Montréal, aspiring to embrace the beautiful outdoor greenspace while living an active lifestyle.  After completing his Winter/Spring internship, Damian joined the MBSC team.  He has also worked with the New York Islanders (NHL) during their Player Development Camp.

 Continuing his education to provide a higher quality service to his clients is a top priority for Damian.  He is an accredited CSCS (NSCA), Pn1 (Precision Nutrition), and CFSC.  Along with his fitness and nutrition qualifications, Damian is also a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) at the Boston Massage School.

Tia Nardella Tia Nardella
Strength and Conditioining

Tia graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science from Longwood University in Virginia.  While there she was a four year scholarship athlete on the women’s soccer team, serving as team captain her senior year.  Her first two years out of college she worked as a personal trainer in Wellesley, MA specializing in sports performance, injury prevention and rehabilitation.  

Tia spent 2012-2013 in Italy playing professional soccer in its top division, Serie A, on UPC Tavagnacco.  The team went undefeated and finished second in the standings winning the Copa d’Italia (national tournament) for the first time in team history, and secured a position in the 2013-2014 UEFA Champions League.   The following year she served as the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at St. Bonaventure University in upstate, NY.  That year the Bonnies made it to the semi-finals in the A-10 conference tournament  for only the second time in the program’s history.    

She is an A.C.S.M. Certified Personal Trainer and a N.S.C.A. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  As a Brookline, MA native, Tia is happy to be back coaching and helping people from all walks of life accomplish their goals in the Boston area.  Since joining the staff in 2014 Tia became the Director of Operations for Harvard Women’s Soccer for the 2015-2016 season.

Shai Lariviere Shai Lariviere
Strength and Conditioning

Shai came to MBSC in the summer of 2017 as an intern and stayed to join the staff. Shai first learned about MBSC at the Perform Better Conference in 2015. He wanted to learn more, which led to him completing the CSFC. He is now delighted to be a part of the MBSC team.

 Strength and Conditioning has always been an fundamental part of Shai's life, beginning at age twelve. A lifelong wrestler whose accomplishments included First Team All- State 3 times as well as New England Champion. Shai understands the hard work and dedication it takes to be a high level athlete.

 A graduate from MTTI tech college, he received his ACSM Certification. Shai trained a wide range of clients at a gym in Rhode Island.

 He is CSFC certified, FMS certified, CSAC certified and an ACSM certified personal trainer. In order to quench his thirst for knowledge, he continues to attend professional development activities.

Chris Partridge Chris Partridge
Strength and Conditioning

Chris joined the MBSC team after completing the spring 2016 internship. He has a bachelors degree from Southern New Hampshire University. There he played men's ice hockey and helped his team earn the schools first ECAC tournament birth. Chris is a native of Arlington, Ma. where he is currently is in his 10th season coaching in the Spy Ponder hockey program. He also is the head Strength coach for the Varsity boys hockey team. This past season the team won its first Super 8 Championship. 

Chris loves coaching MBSC athletes at all levels. He also provides personal training, and adult group training. He is a Certified Functional Strength Coach, and FMS level 1. CPR/AED certified by American Red Cross.

Pat Stefanski Pat Stefanski
Strength and Conditioning

Patrick joined the MBSC team after completing the summer 2017 internship program.  Patrick graduated Springfield College Class of 2016 with a Bachelor's of Science in Applied Exercise Science with a concentration in Human Performance and a minor in Business Administration.  During his time at Springfield College Patrick was a two year captain for the Men's Rugby Club, and two time League All Star Captain.  Patrick also has experience playing football, baseball, basketball, golf, and track and field.

Patrick has worked with a wide array of clients and teams ranging from middle school, high school, adults, professional athletes, and the USA Men's Olympic 7s Rugby Team.  Patrick also volunteers with Lexington High School Football.  No matter the client, or goal, Patrick is driven to help the people he works with enjoy working toward their goals.

Patrick is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) and Reflexive Performance Reset Level 2.

Charlie Bando Charlie Bando
Strength and Conditioning

Charlie is a native of Wakefield, MA. Growing up, hockey was the main focus for Charlie. He played for multiple different teams including the Assabet Valley Patriots and Minuteman Flames. After his youth hockey career, Charlie played junior hockey for the Boston Junior Bruins and the Northern Cyclones. His pursuit of the game of hockey landed him a spot at Castleton University in Castleton, Vermont. Charlie went on to graduate from Castleton University with a bachelors degree in exercise science. While at Castleton, Charlie was a captain of the hockey team from 2014-2016 . After college, Charlie took a job as the head strength and conditioning coach of the Northern Junior Cyclones. After a short stint with the Cyclones, Charlie landed an internship at Harvard University working with their strength and conditioning staff. During his time at Harvard he assisted in training all 42 varsity sports teams, as well as help former athletes to prepare them for the NFL combine and other professional sports. Following Harvard, Charlie acquired a job working with strength and conditioning coach Ben Prentiss at Prentiss Hockey Performance in Stamford, CT. During his time at PHP, Charlie assisted in training a handful of NHL/AHL athletes such as all stars Cam Atkinson, Kevin Shattenkirk, Matt Moulson and James Neal as well as two time Stanley Cup champion Jonathan Quick. While at PHP, he also assisted in developing prospects for the New York Rangers. Charlie is excited to be working at MBSC and hopes to fulfill his athletes and clients fitness and health goals. Charlie is CPR/AED and First Aid certified by the American Red Cross

Kenny Neff Kenny Neff
Strength and Conditioning

Kenny joined the MBSC family in the fall of 2017. During his time at MBSC Kenny has had the privlege of working with clients ranging from over 60 years of age to middle school athletes and has loved the experience of making clients’ lives better.
Kenny is a native of somerville where he continues to work with soccer and football teams as well as volunteering throughout the city.
As a NASM CPT, Kenny is passionate about transforming lives, expanding his knowledge, and helping as many people as possible.

Gabe Patton Gabe Patton
Strength and Conditioning

Gabe joined the staff at MBSC in the summer of 2001 working as a part-time strength coach until graduating from Connecticut College in 2007.  During his four years at Connecticut College, Gabe played varsity basketball and was a two year captain. Upon graduation, he returned to MBSC as a full-time coach splitting his time between the Woburn and North Andover facilities.  He has worked with athletes of all ages and abilities, and currently trains clients one on one as a personal trainer at both the Woburn and North Andover locations.  In addition to training athletes at MBSC, Gabe also spent the summer of 2006 interning with the Boston Celtics, assisting in coaching their offseason strength and conditioning program.  He is currently working on his Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). 

Mike Vaughan Mike Vaughan
Strength & Conditioning

Mike is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) as well as a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach. He has been a member of the MBSC team since the summer of 2012.

While at MBSC, Mike has coached individuals ranging from the Professional and Olympic ranks to high school and middle school athletes to adult clients looking to move well and feel better on a day-to-day basis.

In addition to working at MBSC, Mike is an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with the USA Women’s National Hockey Team.

As an undergrad at Fitchburg State University, Mike was a three-year starter at defensive back for the Falcon football team. Upon earning his Bachelor’s Degree at FSU, Mike completed internships with Northeastern University and USA Hockey.

Mike continues to pursue his education by attending various conferences and seminars in order to help you attain all of your current and future fitness goals.

Brendon Rearick Brendon Rearick
Strength & Conditioning, Licensed Massage Therapist

With a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Brendon got his start at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning (MBSC) in Woburn, MA. The growth-focused environment at MBSC motivated Brendon in a way he had never experienced. Over a few short years he progressed to become the internship coordinator, got his massage therapy license, and later opened a massage therapy clinic, Movement As Medicine, with Kevin Carr. Soon thereafter, he joined Certified Functional Strength Coach; an educational company that in just three years has certified 3,000 trainers in over 20 countries!

Now a California resident for three-years, Brendon continues to grow Movement As Medicine and travel to teach for Certified Functional Strength Coach. He is an active speaker at the Perform Better summit conference, and he recently became the lead strength coach at Crossover Health - a corporate lifestyle company in San Jose, CA.


With an inexhaustible drive to learn more and be the best version of himself, Brendon dedicates his free time to continuing education, dancing with his 3-year old daughter, reading, writing, and enjoying in the outdoors.

John Pallof John Pallof
Physical Therapist - PT, OCS, COMT, CSCS

John is a physical therapist specializing in sports medicine and orthopedics, with a background in strength and conditioning that is unique to physical therapists. John graduated in 1997 from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. In addition:

  • John is a board certified specialist in orthopedics (OCS), as administered by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Has earned the designation of Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT), after a rigorous educational series via Maitland Australian Physiotherapy.
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) via the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

John has treated athletes of all levels, from youth to professional, from all sports. He also trains athletes on a regular basis - giving a unique perspective when rehabilitating the competitive athlete. His blend of advanced manual therapy skills along with practical experience training and rehabilitating athletes leads to exceptional outcomes, and a rapid return to sport.

Timmy Vallely Timmy Vallely
Strength and Conditioning

Timmy joined MBSC after completing the Fall 2017 internship. He graduated from Iona College in 2011 with a BS in Mass Communication.Timmy has experience working with athletes recovering from ACL surgery. He also worked with the Malden High Varsity football, baseball, and basketball team. He is currently working with the SFC New England Boys soccer U18 and Girls U14, 15, and 16 teams. Whether it is through personal training or coaching, Timmy believes that everyone should be training towards a goal of some kind. Value your message because you value yourself as the messenger. Timmy is a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC) and American Council on Exercise (ACE) group fitness instructor. Timmy is also working towards becoming Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified.
