Joe Lauzon Makes Top MMA Submissions of 2011List (MMA / UFC)

Since 2009, Joe Lauzon has not gone a fight without winning some type of bonus in the process. Coming off a Submission of the Night win over Curt Warburton, Lauzon looked to keep this streak going and rise the ranks when he took on Melvin Guillard at UFC 136.
Not wanting to waste any time, Guillard looked to rush Lauzon, whose level head allowed him to tag the veteran lightweight, rocking Guillard in the process.
Seeing his opponent in dire straits, Lauzon jumped on the chance to take Guillard's back before sinking in the rear-naked choke just 47 seconds into the fight.
Taking Submission of the Night yet again, Lauzon jumped the lightweight ranks while keeping his award-winning streak still intact. More »

Sports Performance Training

As the pioneers of Sports Performance Training in the private sector, Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning offers an innovative approach to training - working on a solid athletic foundation while staying focused on each athlete's individual goals. Our unique program includes instruction in movement training, injury reduction, linear and lateral speed development, foot speed and agility, explosive power development, proper weight training techniques, and functional strength training. Athletes are closely supervised as the coach takes them through an intense 90 minute workout and attention is always paid to proper technique and safety.
THE WORKOUT
The workout consists of functionally sound movement training, strength training and conditioning with a strong focus on basic and proper technique. The workout becomes progressively more challenging once basic techniques have been mastered. The groups are kept small, no more than 9 per group, to allow maximum individual attention.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

- INJURY REDUCTION - Identify & Correct Muscular Imbalances, Balance & Stabilization
- NUTRITION EDUCATION - Lessons, Tips and Advice
SESSIONS
For MBSC's fall, winter, and spring sessions we offer group training Monday through Saturday and you may choose either the 2 day/week or 3 day/week program. Our summer session runs Monday through Thursday and is offered in a 4 day/week or 2 day/week program. We also offer a 2 day, 1 hour in-season program for those who are in-season High School athletes, and would like to stay strong during the season. There will be a fee of $50.00 for refunds.
