Click for a larger image Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning offers the most comprehensive performance enhancement training in the nation, including instruction in movement training, injury prevention, linear and lateral speed development, foot speed and agility, explosive power development, proper weight training techniques, and functional strength training. Athletes are closely supervised as the coach takes them through an intense 1.5 hour workout and attention is always paid to proper technique and safety.
SESSIONS
For MBSC's fall, winter, and spring sessions we offer group training Monday through Saturday and you may choose either the 2 day/week or 3 day/week program. Our summer session runs Monday through Thursday and is offered in a 4 day/week or 2 day/week program.
THE WORKOUT
The first half of every workout focuses on improving the ability to move. During this time, we focus on the following:
- Myofascial release (foam rolling techniques)
- Flexibility and muscle activation
- Balance and stabilization
- Speed development
- Acceleration and deceleration techniques
- Linear and lateral movement mechanics
- Core (abdominal) strength
- Explosive power
- Injury reduction
The second half of the workout focuses on strength training to improve performance in competitive or recreational sports this includes:
- Olympic lifting techniques
- Functional strength training
- Linear and lateral conditioning
- Small groups of no more than three athletes are matched with one coach
- Strong focus on basic and correct technique
- Each athlete follows a progressive exercise routine (progressively more challenging once basic techniques have been mastered)
