The Mike Boyle Winter Seminar is back for another year!

Our yearly educational summit is always a crowd pleaser and this year it looks to be better than ever.

As always we are planning to bring in a special guest speaker to present alongside Mike Boyle and the MBSC staff.

This year our guest of honor is none other than the leader of the MFF Ninja Clubhouse himself: Mark Fisher.

Part 1: The Trainer As Servant

Regardless of what setting you work in, customer service is a big part of the job for fitness professionals; great service leads to better retention, faster growth, and superior results. Yet very few organizations teach trainers how to provide truly great service. In this session, Mark will teach Mark Fisher Fitness's simple-to-implement "Super Service Principles." Attendees will learn to articulate their service basics, review opportunities to personalize their interactions in a meaningful way, and brainstorm ways to make magic for their clients.

Part 2: Coaching Conversations: The Missing Tool

As fitness professionals, we're trained in how to apply sets and reps towards fitness goals. We learn to look at movement and we study program design. When it comes to physiology, we've got it down. But we often receive less training in the most important skill of all; having conversations that inspire our clients to change their behavior. In this interactive session, Mark will share the specific techniques and process employed by

MBSC and Movement as Medicine coach, Nicole Delegas, will be breaking down the 3-fundamentals of launching and preparing an online training business. In a tech-influenced world, with ever-growing demand for online solutions, we can either get on the train or watch it go by us. 

Overworked and overbooked clients are looking for convenient solutions to maintain their health on their own time. Whether it's in the comfort of their own home, or a hotel room on the go, excuses are minimized and health is maximized with the convenience of online training.

 About the Presenters

Michael Boyle

 

Michael Boyle is one of the foremost experts in the fields of Strength and Conditioning, Functional Training and general fitness. He currently spends his time lecturing, teaching, training, and writing. In 1996 Michael co-founded Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, one of the first for-profit strength and conditioning companies in the world. Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning exists for one reason: to provide performance enhancement training for athletes of all levels. Athletes trained range from junior high school students to All-Stars in almost every major professional sport.

Prior to Co-founding Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, Michael served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Boston University for 15 years, also for the past 25 years he been the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Men's Ice Hockey at Boston University.  Mike also was the Boston Red Sox strength and conditioning coach in 2013 that won the World Series. In addition to his duties at Boston University and the Red Sox, from 1991-1999 Boyle served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. Michael was also the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 1998 US Women's Olympic Ice Hockey Team, Gold Medalists in Nagano and 2014 Silver medalists in Sochi, and served as a consultant in the development of the USA Hockey National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Michael has been a featured speaker at numerous strength and conditioning and athletic training clinics across the world and has produced 20 instructional videos in the area of strength and conditioning available through M-F Athletic. Michael has also lectured all over the world. In addition, Michael published Functional Training for Sports for Human Kinetics Publishers. Mike and his wife Cindy have 2 children, Michaela and Mark and reside in Reading.

Mark Fisher 

Mark Fisher is an international speaker, consultant, and entrepreneur. Mark co-founded Business for Unicorns in 2016. BFU has worked with clients like Sony Music, Sylvan Learning, and the ACLU, as well as many of the leading fitness studios across the US and UK. Mark is also a proud alumni speaker of TEDx Broadway. In addition to consulting and teaching through Business for Unicorns, Mark is the co-founder of Mark Fisher Fitness.  Kevin Carr

Whether he is working as a coach or therapist, Kevin's goal is to help you move better so that you can excel at the activities that make you happy.

Kevin has already amassed a wealth of experience in the field of sports performance and personal training while working at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning in Woburn, Massachusetts. Working with everyone from US Olympians looking for a competitive edge to the Average Joe or looking to shed some pounds and get healthier he has helped countless clients move better and live healthier lives.

Kevin is Co-Founder of the Certified Functional Strength Coach certification and Movement As Medicine Massage and Movement Therapy Clinic. He has traveled all over the world educating thousands of coaches and therapists about the MBSC coaching system.

In addition to receiving a Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology from The University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a License in Massage Therapy from Cortiva Institute- Watertown, he is also credited with the completion of numerous continuing education certifications including FMS, SFMA, NKT Level 1 and 2, FRC, FAPP, Pn1, and PRI.

Marco Sanchez

Marco Sanchez has been a strength and conditioning coach at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning in Woburn since completing a summer internship in 2009. Since then Marco has built an extensive resume of personal training and athlete clients, ranging from youths to professionals and Olympians. Marco is an educator at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning and is heavily involved with the training of the staff as well as other coaches and trainers around the world.

In the fall of 2013, Marco completed his year-long massage therapy licensure and began treating clients and athletes at MBSC. Marco spent the 2014-2015 professional hockey season as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the San Jose Sharks, and head strength coach of their American Hockey League affiliate, the Worcester Sharks.

He has a well-rounded education in various systems across the industry. He has attended courses from PRI, FMS, SFMA, NKT, Pn1 and RockTape.

Stephen Bigelow

Stephen Joined the MBSC team after completing the Summer 2014 internship program.  Since his time at MBSC, he has coached all types of clients ranging from professional athletes to middle-school kids and enjoys helping everyone reach their personal and performance goals. Stephen also is an integral part of our Continuing Education and Certification Program(CFSC). He has traveled all over the U.S. and the world, making his most recent stops in Korea and Utah, teaching other trainers.

 Stephen graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where he was a captain of the Men's Track and Field team.  During his career, he amassed several athletic and academic awards including two All-New England selections and the UMass Spring Scholar-Athlete distinction in 2014.

 Stephen attends several continuing education events every year and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), FMS Levels 1 and 2 certified, and a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting.

Nicole Delegas

Nicole has been a coach at Mike Boyle's Strength and Conditioning since the fall of 2014. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy from Suffolk University. After graduation, she attended the American Academy of Personal Training in Boston, where she studied corrective exercise, nutrition and kinesiology. She then attended Cortiva Institute in Watertown where she received her Licensure in Massage Therapy.

Nicole defines health as living life without pain, movement restrictions and moving with an overall confidence. She strongly believes that everyone deserves to move freely in their own body and works relentlessly to help her clients achieve their specific goals. Her practice in massage therapy allows her clients the opportunity to move with freedom. While, her background in training grants her clients the opportunity to learn more efficient movement patterns to prevent further injuries.

Nicole is a Certified Functional Strength Coach and Level-One Certified in the Functional Movement Screen. She continues to educate herself by attending seminars and staying up to date with the latest research.

Being a Winchester native, Nicole likes to spend a lot of her free time outside exploring the Fells Reservation. Other hobbies of hers include traveling, skiing and free diving.

Vincent Talluto

Vinny has been a strength and conditioning coach at MBSC since completing a Summer internship in 2014. He is a graduate from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a degree in Exercise Physiology and minors in both Nutrition and Psychology. Vinny has been fortunate enough to travel all around the world teaching and certifying trainers through our Certified Functional Strength Coach Program most recently being the AS Roma club in Italy and the Philippines.
         Vinny specializes in getting athletes to buy-in and set goals that focus on the process of training rather than only on the outcome. He enjoys helping athletes increase athleticism and improve the likelihood that they reach their true athletic potential. By implementing his systems at MBSC it allows for entirely individualized training that will address faulty movement patterns, flexibility limitations, and other unique training needs. Vinny has had the privilege of working with athletes of all ages, ranging from elite level college athletes to middle school and adult groups.
 
         Vinny continues to further his education by attending multiple conferences and seminars every year. He is FMS level 1, Precision Nutrition, and USA Weightlifting certified.
 

Dan McGinley

Dan has been a coach at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning since January of 2013.  During this time he has worked with everyone from Olympic and professional athletes looking for a competitive edge to developing high school and middle school athletes and adult personal training clients striving to feel, look and live healthy and active lives.

In addition to graduating from Bridgewater Sate University with a degree in Physical Education, Dan has also participated in numerous continuing education courses including the Functional Movement Screen level 1 & 2, Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  He travels both internationally and throughout the U.S. educating coaches and trainers on the systems used at MBSC as a member of the teaching staff for the Certified Functional Strength Coach.  

Dan spent 16 months in China representing MBSC as the director of strength and conditioning at the Ersha Sports Training Institute of Guangdong Province.  During this time he was tasked with overseeing the development of the strength and conditioning program for the training center as well as coaching both healthy and rehabbing athletes from 14 sports.   His athletes in China, including current and future Olympians, won 26 medals during the 2017 China games in Tianjin.
