Joe Lauzon Makes Top MMA Submissions of 2011List (MMA / UFC)

Since 2009, Joe Lauzon has not gone a fight without winning some type of bonus in the process. Coming off a Submission of the Night win over Curt Warburton, Lauzon looked to keep this streak going and rise the ranks when he took on Melvin Guillard at UFC 136.
Not wanting to waste any time, Guillard looked to rush Lauzon, whose level head allowed him to tag the veteran lightweight, rocking Guillard in the process.
Seeing his opponent in dire straits, Lauzon jumped on the chance to take Guillard's back before sinking in the rear-naked choke just 47 seconds into the fight.
Taking Submission of the Night yet again, Lauzon jumped the lightweight ranks while keeping his award-winning streak still intact. More »

Franklin Pierce senior goalie Vinny Papageorgiou of Wilmington has earned All-America accolades from the National Soccer Coaches Association. The Northeast-10 Conference's Goalkeeper of the Year, Papageorgiou posted a 21-1-1 record, and his 0.51 goals-against average ranked third in the nation. He notched 13 shutouts, including three straight in the NE-10 postseason tournament and two more in the NCAA Division 2 championships. Congrats Vinny!

Mike Boyle, ATC has been hired as a Strength and Conditioning Consultant. He has over 30 years experience in the field of strength and conditioning, including over 25 years on the Boston University staff. Boyle, who is the co-founder of Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning training centers, has been involved in training and rehabilitation with a wide range of athletes and has served as a consultant to players and teams in the NFL, NHL, MLB and NBA, and at the collegiate level. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Springfield College. More »
